Application of cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation with sutureless small incision under topical anesthesia in the sight restoration project
Objective To explore the effect of cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation with sutureless small incision under topical anesthesia in the sight restoration project. Methods 350 eyes of 342 cases of cataract patients were underwent cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation with sutureless small incision under topical anesthesia. Intraoperative pain,postoperative complications and visual acuity were observed. Result The process of surgery patients without pain and with cooperation were recorded in 319 eyes ( 91. 14%) ; Intraoperative occasionally feel mild pain,but within endure and with cooperate with operation successfully were recorded in 18 eyes ( 5. 14%) , the total effective rate of 100. 00%. No unbearable pain during surgery and diversion to the retrobulbar or peribulbar anesthesia occurred. Postoperative visual acuity of 0. 1 - 0. 3 were observed in 43 eyes accounting for 12. 29%,0 . 4 - 0. 6 in 220 eyes accounting for 62. 86%, 0. 6 above 87 eyes accounting for 24. 86% one day after operation. Conclusion The cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation with sutureless small incision under superficial anesthesia can avoid corresponding complications,reduce the operation time obviously and ensure better quality of operation. It’s suitable for large scale cataract operation actions and primary hospital to carry out the prevention and treatment of blindness in people with cataract.
