Objective To explore the feasibility of the method of gallbladder-preserved treatment of biliary stones with tri-scopy,combined duodenoscope, laparascope, and choledochoscope. Methods The clinical data of 20 cases with choledocholithiasis treated by combined techniques of duodenectomy, laparoscopy and choledochoscopy from January 2009 to June 2011 were analyzed retrospectively. Results All 20 patients were treated successfully by this method and recovered well after operations. All patients received follow-up with a period of 6 months to 30 months. No patient had recurrent stones. They were of eupepsia with good physical status. Two patients had cholecystitis during the period of follow-up. Conclusion The method of gallbladder-preserved treatment by combined duodenoscopy, laparoscopy, and choledochoscopy was feasible and effective for selected patients with gallbladder stones and choledocholithiasis. However, more large samples clinical trials are needed to establish its long-term effect.
