ObjectiveTo analyze the detection rate of colorectal cancer by colonoscopy in 6 hospitals in Guangxi areas. MethodsData of individuals who went to the 6 grade-A tertiary hospitals in 5 Guangxi areas for colonoscopy from June 2019 to June 2021 were collected. The individuals were stratified and the detection rate of colorectal cancer by colonoscopy was calculated according to the year of their examination, their gender and age, and the hospitals where they were examined. ResultsA total of 61 786 colonoscopy examinees′ data were collected, and the total detection rate of colorectal cancer was 2.81%. Compared with those in 2019 and 2021, the detection rate of colorectal cancer in 2020 was the highest (P＜0.05). Male detection rate of colorectal cancer was significantly higher than female (P＜0.05). There was a statistically significant difference in the detection rate of colorectal cancer in different age groups (P＜0.05). The detection rate of colorectal cancer in Beihai People′s Hospital was higher than that in the other 5 hospitals (P＜0.05). Male owned higher detection rates of colon cancer and rectum cancer than female (all P＜0.05). The detection rates of colon cancer and rectum cancer in Beihai People′s Hospital surpassed the others (all P＜0.05). In male, female, and the 30-79-year-old population, colon cancer detection rate was higher than rectum cancer (all P＜0.05). ConclusionThe detection rate of colorectal cancer by colonoscopy in Guangxi areas is 2.81%. Differences were found in the detection rate of colorectal cancer in different years, individuals with different genders and ages, and different hospitals. And generally, colon cancer detection rate is higher than rectum cancer.
