ObjectiveTo explore the clinical effect of Xiaozhong Sanjie Decoction combined with acupuncture on breast cancer. MethodsFifty-six breast cancer patients were divided into control group (n=28) and observation group (n=28) according to the random number table method. The control group was administered acupuncture, based on which the observation group was administered Xiaozhong Sanjie Decoction, and the treatment in both groups lasted for one month. The traditional Chinese medicine syndrome efficacy, pre- and post-treatment traditional Chinese medicine symptom score and life quality scores were compared between the two groups. ResultsThe observation group yielded higher total effective rate (82.14% vs. 50.00%)，and significantly higher life quality scores for all items compared to the control group (all P＜0.05). After treatment, the scores for traditional Chinese medicine symptom in both groups decreased significantly, and the scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (all P＜0.05). ConclusionXiaozhong Sanjie Decoction combined with acupuncture has significant efficacy for breast cancer, which can improve patients’ life quality, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
