ObjectiveTo explore the application value of fiberglass post bonding bridge in fixed denture restoration. MethodEighty-two patients with dentition defect were enrolled as objects and randomly divided into control group and experimental group by the double chromosphere method, with 41 cases in each group. The control group was treated with traditional fixed dentures restoration, and the experimental group was treated with fiberglass post bond bridge. The clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared. After the treatment, the masticatory function, denture retention function, aesthetics, comfort and language function were evaluated, and the plaque index (PLI), probing depth (PD) and bleeding index (BI) of the dentures were analyzed. ResultsThe clinical efficacy of the experimental group was better than the control group, and the total effective rate in the experimental group (97.56%) was significantly higher than 78.05% in the control group (P＜0.05). Compared to the control group , the experimental group had a higher masticatory function, denture retention function, aesthetics, comfort and language function score, and lower PLI, PD and BI (P＜0.05). ConclusionThe application of fiberglass post bond bridge in fixed denture restoration has a remarkable effect on patients with dentition defect. It can obviously improve the mastication, language and retention function of denture, and improve the aesthetics and comfort. It is worthy of clinical application.
