ObjectiveTo observe the clinical effect of Zhuang medicine pricking using fire needle combined with pantoprazole on treating peptic gastric ulcer of spleen-stomach dampness-cold type. MethodsA total of 80 patients with peptic gastric ulcer of spleen-stomach dampness-cold type were selected as subjects, and were divided into treatment group and control group using random number table, with 40 cases in each group. The treatment group received Zhuang medicine pricking using fire needle and was orally administered pantoprazole, and the control group was orally administered pantoprazole alone. Both groups were treated for 3 weeks as a treatment course. The improvement of clinical symptom scores, clinical efficacy and adverse drug reactions were observed and were compared between the two groups. ResultsThere were no significant differences in the clinical symptom scores before treatment between the two groups (P＞0.05); After treatment, the clinical symptoms scores decreased in both groups, and the clinical symptoms scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). In the treatment group, 30 cases, 8 cases and 2 cases were assessed as well-healed, effective and ineffective respectively; In the control group, 20 cases, 10 cases and 10 cases were assessed as well-healed, effective and ineffective respectively. The clinical efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P＜0.05). No obvious adverse reactions occurred in both groups during treatment. ConclusionZhuang medicine pricking using fire needle combined with oral administration of pantoprazole can achieve a good clinical effect on peptic gastric ulcer of spleen-stomach dampness-cold type, and is worth for promotion and application.
