ObjectiveTo explore the clinical effect of minimally invasive treatment via tarsal sinus approach for calcaneal fracture. MethodsA total of 84 patients with calcaneal fracture were selected as subjects, among which, 42 cases treated with lateral L-shaped incision were enrolled as control group and the other 42 cases receiving minimally invasive treatment via tarsal sinus approach as intervention group. The treatment, foot function score and incident rate of complications were observed and compared between the two groups. ResultsThe operation duration and hospital stay in the intervention group were less than those in the control group (P<0.05). At 12 months after operation, the foot function scores of both groups were significantly higher than preoperative scores, and the score of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The incident rate of complications in the intervention group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). ConclusionMinimally invasive treatment via tarsal sinus approach for calcaneal fracture can effectively shorten the operation duration and hospital stay, reduce the incident rate of complications, improve foot function, and obtain a significant therapeutic effect.
