ObjectiveTo investigate the method and the c linical effect of arthroscopic therapy on localized pigmented villondular synovitis. Methods9 patients were treated under arthroscopy and diagnosed with postoperative pathologic evidence as localized pigmented villondular synovitis. No case accepted postoperative radiotherapy. ResultsAll cases were followed from 12 months to 5 years(29.2 months on average) with no relapse or any complication. ConclusionArthroscopic therapy is an effective treatment with less invasion, fast recovery, and better function on localized pigmented villondular synovitis
