ObjectiveTo observe the curative effect of endovascular laser treatment(EVLT) for lower extremities venous ulcers. MethodsAfter the ulcer cause was determined by anterograde phlebography of deep vein of lower limbs deep venous, 34 patients (35 limbs) of lower extremities venous ulcers were treated with EVLT and high ligation and vein trunk stripping of the great saphenous, among them, 4 were performed with balloon dilation of let common iliac vain, and 2 with skin grafts on the ulcer site. ResultsAll lower extremity superficial varicose disappeared postoperatively, with ulcer healed in 6 to 45 days. Of 28 patients that were followed up for 4-56 months, one reoccurred.ConclusionRemoving of veins stasis and reflex of superficial vein are keys to treating ulcer of lower extremity. EVLT is an effective and safe treatment for varicose of lower extremities. Appropriately shutting perforating vein can prevent its recurrence
